The Phillies jumped out early on a leadoff wall-scraper from Jimmy Rollins, but Matt Harvey cruised from that point forward, allowing no more hits and fanning 7 to put a bow on his impressive rookie campaign. The Mets' offense was infuriatingly anemic as always, but they tied things up on an RBI single from Daniel Murphy in the third, then went ahead on a David Wright solo homer in the sixth. It was nearly enough, but with the Phils down to their last out, Josh Edgin walked Chase Utley, then allowed a bomb of a two-run homer to Ryan Howard, and that was all she wrote.

Full recap to come.
