What RA taught us...

Met fans, of a certain age, have developed a steely perseverance, forged in a crucble of mediocrity, where the lid has occasionally cracked open... '69, '73, '86, '01....a handful.

We are not bathed in Championships as are the easy yankee masses. We have a harder path and once in a while a Man emerges who evokes our earnest strivings.

Off the scrap heap of everyman came a Leader who showed that the Journey is it's own reward ! Persevere and all things are possible.

I hope that RA Dickey continues to take us along on his great ride, regrettably in another uniform.

I know he made me proud to be a Mets fan.
