Aside from the fact that the Mets have been silent on the free-agent market, they've also yet to comes to terms with their trio of players eligible for arbitration this year: Daniel Murphy, Ike Davis, and Bobby Parnell. Murphy and Davis are eligible for arbitration for the first time in their careers, while this year is Parnell's second year of eligibility.

If the team doesn't reach a deal with each of the players by Friday, both player and team will submit a 2013 salary to an arbitrator, who would pick one of the two proposals sometime in February.

All three players made approximately $500,000 in 2012 but will certainly see a raise this year. MLB Trade Rumors has been pretty spot-on with its estimated arbitration salaries over the past few years, and here's what they predict for this trio:

Given the Mets' limited funds at the moment, it would be ideal if the team could sign each player for a bit less than he might receive in arbitration. If not, though, Murphy, Davis, and Parnell should all be more than worth their salaries.
