Meet the Mets
Omar Quintanilla is back, guys! The Mets and the shortstop agreed to a minor league deal for the second year in a row. Before getting dealt to the Orioles, Quintanilla hit .257/.350/.371 in 80 plate appearances for the team as an injury replacement in 2012.
Ken Davidoff reports that the Mets are more likely to acquire a name starting pitcher than an outfielder at this point, pointing to options like Carl Pavano, Shaun Marcum, Chris Capuano or Aaron Harang.
