5 Trades the Mets should atleast consider.

In this years free agency and trade market so far, the Mets have looked disapointed. It seems that, this year, you have to give, in order to get. So I suggest the Mets look into the following trades.

1)Trade Jon Niese and Lucas Duda to the Angels for Erick Aybar and Mark Trumbo.

Explanation- Jon's contract probably makes him at his peak, trade wise, right now. The Angels need pitching that can give them innings, Neise is a perfect fit for them. They will miss Aybar but he Just had an off year and who knows if he will return. The Mets will take him because even in an off year he is better than what they have. Trumbo will be replace by Duda as a DH.

2)Trade Rafael Montero to the Phillies for Dominic Brown.

Explanation- Montero is great, but just a few years ago Dom Brown was a top 5 prospect in baseball. The mets need left handed power, and the Phillies need to replace Halladay.

3)Trade Wilmer Flores to the Dodgers for Andre Ethier and cash.

Explanation- The Dodgers need a second baseman(start the cuban guy in the minors), the Mets need an outfeilder. Also Ethier hits great both on the road and against righty's. Platoon partner for Chris Young maybe?!

4)Trade Ike Davis and Eric Young Jr. to the Rockies for Dexter Fowler and Josh Rutledge.

Explanation- The Mets need a leadoff man and a shortstop. Rutledge was terrible this year so he should be cheap. Fowler has good corner defense and a knack for getting on base. EY would be able to take over in center for the rockies, and they would get a first baseman.

5)Trade Ike Davis to the Rays for Drew Vettleson and Hak-Ju Lee.

Explanation- The Rays want Davis. The Mets want a shortstop and an outfeilder. They get prospects at each position. Tejada can play short until Hak-Ju Lee is ready.

These aren't trades that are supposed to be done together (as you can see I traded Davis twice) But simply suggestions of possible trades.
