Meet the Mets

Sidearming righty Greg Burke became a free agent last week and while the Mets have interest in bringing him back, he's also drawing interest from the Blue Jays and Rockies.

David Lennon of Newsday predicts that the Mets will sign Shin-Soo Choo to a 6 year, $105 million contract and Jhonny Peralta to a 2 year, $19 million contract. Sounds like the start of a fine offseason to me.

Afterwards, first baseman Mike Napoli walked those same streets drunk and shirtless.

It sounds like the Tigers have hired former big league catcher Brad Ausmus as their new manager.

Here's a shocker: the Marlins are not expected to expand payroll by much and instead will shop for bargains.

Beyond the Box Score has a great guide to qualifying offers and options.

Grant Brisbee tries to figure out where Robinson Cano is going to sign.
