She was replaced by Melanie Iglesias, the BABIP Fairy. While there is nothing wrong with her, the Mets didn't exactly have the best of luck in 2012, with a cumulative.249/.316/.386 batting line and 4.09 ERA (below the league average .254/.318/.400 and 3.94 ERA); perhaps a change will shake things up and have BABIP favor the Mets more thoroughly.
In the comment section, make a case for who you believe should be the next representation of BABIP incarnate. Post a picture. Post an animated .GIF (if any exist). Make a compelling case. I'm going to place the most popular entries in the final selection poll two weeks before Spring Training ends. Select the person you think should be the next incarnation of BABIP and respond with a "+1".
Amazin' Avenue is a family site; keep it PGish.
The person in question should be Mets related in some capacity- be related to a current Mets player, be a Mets fan, be in Mets clothing, something.
A poster can only submit one entry, so make it count.
A poster is allowed a total of five votes; that way he/she can vote early, and not worry about changing votes and/or not having voted for the candidate they want to head to the finals.
