There hasn't been a whole lot to celebrate over the course of the first two months of the season for Mets fans, but last night we saw them take the first game of the season against the cross-town rival Yankees. The Mets ended up winning 2-1, behind an excellent start from Jon Niese. The full boxscore can be found here.

The mighty Braves fell to the Blue Jays yesterday, as Tim Hudson continued to struggle. The loss combined with the Mets win leaves the Mets only 10 games out of first.

The Phillies also lost yesterday, dropping a 9-3 contest to the Red Sox.

The Nationals couldn't gain any ground on the Braves yesterday, losing to the Orioles by a 6-2 score.

It turns out the Marlins are still a team, and unsurprisingly, they lost again.

They Angels win streak was ended at 8, as they lost to the Dodgers by a 8-7 score.

A top prospect that isn't Zack Wheeler was called up to the big leagues yesterday, as Nick Franklin got the nod in Seattle.
