Mets GIF Of The Game: David Wright slides into Chase Utley

Rich Schultz

In the top of the fourth inning of last night's game against the Phillies, David Wright knocked in the Mets' first run with a single that plated Eric Young, Jr. Wright was then forced out at second on Marlon Byrd's grounder, but did his best to break up a potential double play by sliding right into Chase Utley's junk.

As with many GIFs, this one is mesmerizing on infinite loop. Notice, also, Ryan Howard shimmying on the right side and Domonic Brown's endless march on the left.
