Retro GIF: Carlos Beltran climbs Tal's Hill in Houston

© Bob Levey

On July 7, 2007, the Mets and Astros played a game at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Few remember that the game lasted seventeen innings or that the Mets won it, 5-3. Fewer still remember that Carlos Beltran and David Wright hit home runs earlier in the game. A scant handful of Mets fans likely recall that Tom Glavine started the game or that Aaron Sele picked up the win with two scoreless innings of relief.

What everyone remembers about that game — what they'll always remember about that game — is Beltran's extraordinary catch running up Tal's Hill in center field.
