Meet the Mets
The Mets won 4-2 over the Royals in 11 innings as Eric Young Jr hit a walk-off home run. David Wright left this game in the 10th when he strained his hamstring running to first base. Wright will go for an MRI today but it's looking likely he'll have to head to the disabled list. If so, Mike Baxter is on his way up from Las Vegas.
David Wright wasn't the only injury casualty for the Mets, as Josh Edgin was DL'd with a fractured rib. Edgin is expected to miss at least 4-6 weeks. In his place, the Mets promoted old friend Pedro Feliciano, who got into last night's game. Bobby Parnell is also sidelined with neck pain, which may keep him out through the weekend.
John Sickels reviewed his Mets top 20 prospects list from the preseason.
