The New York Mets are having a season to forget. However, since the season is already lost, they might as well bring up their prospects to see what they got and give them some big league time. It is no secret that Ike Davis is an embarrassment to the Mets. Davis is batting .189 for the season with 6 home runs and 25 RBI's. That is dreadful. The Mets need to bring up Wilmer Flores and see what he can do. Flores has played first base in the minors. Flores is also batting .322 with 14 home runs and 86 RBI's in 105 games in Vegas. Send Ike Davis down to the minors where he belongs and give Flores a chance to give the Mets some offense that they are desperate for. Also, John Buck is an awful defensive catcher and is only batting .215 with 14 home runs and 55 RBI's. Most of which came during the month of April. Travis d'Arnaud is a prized prospect that the Mets have. He is however coming off of an ankle injury. He began playing games though and should be brought up to the bigs. The Mets are not going to make a run at the playoffs so there is no harm in bringing up these guys to get them some time. If anything it will get more fans to watch the games. People are sick of seeing Ike Davis strikeout and John Buck groundout to short. Bring up the young guys and give them a chance. The Mets need offense and that is what Flores and d'Arnaud can bring.
