Triple-A - Las Vegas 51's (14-8)_______________________________________
LAS VEGAS 4, RENO 3 (Box)
- RF Cory Vaughn: 3-4
- 3B Daniel Muno: 0-4, BB, K
- 2B Wilfredo Tovar: 1-3, RBI, BB, 2 CS
- SS Matt Reynolds: 2-4, 2 2B, R, K
- RHP Matt Bowman: 5 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 1 K; Good days for the SAMBA have been few and far between this season.
Double-A - Binghamton Mets (13-8)_____________________________________
BINGHAMTON 2, NEW HAMPSHIRE 1 (Box)
Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (11-11)_____________________________________
BRADENTON 12, ST. LUCIE 1 (Box)
- CF Champ Stuart: 0-4, 2 K; He only has to hit a little bit to be a major leaguer, but he has to hit a little bit.
- LF Michael Conforto: 0-4, 2 K; Hitting under .300 now? TRAID
- DH Victor Cruzado: 1-4, R, 2B, K; The organization raves about Cruzado, but I have never seen much more than a useful org guy.
- 2B Jeff McNeil: 0-2, BB, K; A rare 0-fer for McNeil, who has been scorching lately.
- SS Amed Rosario: 2-4, 3B
- 3B Jhoan Urena: 0-3; I thought Urena had enough bat-to-ball to handle an admittedly very aggressive assignment. I doubt you see him demoted to Savannah, but there clearly need to be some adjustments made here.
- RHP Logan Taylor: 3.2 IP, 8 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 4 BB, 3 K; Several of my colleagues here count Taylor among their "guys," but in my (admittedly brief) look, I didn't see much more than a future AA/AAA reliever.
Low-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (7-14)__________________________________
- RF Wuilmer Becerra: 1-4, CS
- CF John Mora: 0-2, R, 2 BB, K
- LF Vicente Lupo: 0-3, K; Robbed a home run in this one. I can only assume he was positioned on the warning track to start.
- SS Luis Guillorme: 1-3, BB, K; He only has to hit a little bit to be a major leaguer, but he has to hit a little bit. So far, so good.
- 3B Pedro Perez: 0-4, K, SB
- C Tyler Moore: 0-3, K
- RHP Casey Meisner: 6.1 IP, 8 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
- LHP Alberto Baldonado: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
LAKEWOOD 2, SAVANNAH 1 (Box)
Star of the Night
Gabriel Ynoa. The author's biases are well known, but in a slate lacking standout performances, the choice was easy.
