Miguel Cabrera available...? In a perfect Mets fan world!

So lets start with, this is for fun, and probably completely unrealistic, but it is by definition a fanpost, so I think I will.

The Mets need a right-handed power bat even if Cespedes choses to stay, I do not consider Walker or Flores as a power/middle-of-the-order bats on a world series team. I see them more as sixth through eightth or second versus lefties. We would prefer the right handed bat in a corner outfielder position if in a perfect world, but a once in a lifetime talent at first base would also do. This contract is long(7 years and Miggy is 34 = 41 last year) and expensive(220M with a 31M annual cap hit), and he probably needs to DH at some point. I see this as a 3 year move until all the young guns need to be paid. I know I know, how do you plan on moving him at 37 with 124M left. That's why we sweeten the deal and in return they kick in cash for his later years, if possible. He will be approaching some major statical records and his value will be much beyond his play at that point Some A.L team will cash in at the box office and trade some assets. Can't you picture Miggy in his final years swatting home runs over the green monster.

Any way these are my two proposals one with Detroit kicking in money and without them kicking in money.

my proposal:

1] Tigers give: Miguel Cabrera and 62 million. The 62 million is paid in 4 payments starting in 2020 for 15.5 million each season. This cuts his salary down to 15.5 million per for the last 4 years. That is not bad for a hall-of-famer who will be chasing down names like Willie Mayes, Babe Ruth, and Hank Aaron on the home run list in those years.

Mets give: Tigers can choose one of each [Harvey-Wheeler] [Nimmo-Duda-Conforto] [Bruce-Granderson] [A.Rosario-D.Smith] and 1 non-top 15 prospect, and 1 non top 5o prospect.

This deal is hard to swallow if we lose Conforto and Rosario. So I might tell them just Conforto with Smith, or Nimmo/Duda with their pick of the two. I would not argue with pulling both rosario and conforto and offering a top 10 prospect if that can get it done, but I don't think it does. Either way the tigers get a very big payout for throwing money in. However, in three years the Mets get a great asset to replenish their farm system, and in the mean time the Mets have MIGUEL CABRERA! Cough cough, one of the greatest right handed hitters in the game and of all-time.

2] Tigers give: Miguel Cabrera

Mets give: Harvey or Wheeler, Nimmo, Bruce, 1 non top 15 prospect,, and 1 non top 40 prospect.

The Mets are taking in 220 million dollars and because of that they are not giving up Conforto, Rosario, or Smith. If they don't like Nimmo, I will offer another prospect but not T.J Rivera. This scenario is great for the Mets organization but I don't know if the Wilpons will pony up 31 million for anybody, and almost certainly not on top of 27 million to Cespedes(if we retain him, which I hope we do.)

This could be just like when the Mets traded for Mike Pizza and morphed the team to another level. Miggy has done that twice, once with the Marlins winning the championship, and then bring the tigers to the top of the A.L central for a couple years. He is stud and is exactly what the New York Mets need. #NYMERICA
