AAOP: I knew all my time playing OOTP baseball would come in handy!

My favorite game is Out Of The Park Baseball. I've played 383 hours. That's 383 hours of me pretending to be a general manager. I knew that info would come in handy! This is my first post ever so my bad if it sucks.

FIRST OFF!

YESPEDES!

Sign Yoenis Cespedes to a 4-year, 125 million dollar contract, with a 5th-year mutual option. This is a no-brainer as he provides the boom in a punch-less offense.

TRAIDZ11!11!!1!

Trade RF Jay Bruce to the Toronto Blue Jays for C Max Pentecost

The Blue Jays have been linked to Bruce multiple times. We acquire a young catcher and dump some salary that will surely go towards something better. They get their coveted corner outfielder.

Trade OF Ricardo Cespedes to the Boston Red Sox for UTIL Brock Holt

He's a guy who's played every fielding position except C at one time or another. Super utility.

Trade RF Curtis Granderson to the Texas Rangers for C Robinson Chirinos.

Another salary-dump to a win-now team for a piece they don't need. This is the insurance plan for d'Arnaud. I have faith in him, but if he doesn't work out, Chirinos can be a solid starter or backup. Plus, the Rangers just acquired Jonathan Lucroy, so Chirinos isn't needed. He plays good defense and has a little bit of pop.

Trade SS Asdrubal Cabrera to the San Diego Padres for RHP Cal Quantrill and RHP Chris Paddack

This will probably draw me some flack, butttttt..... it opens up the next trade!

The final trade...

Trade OF Brandon Nimmo, RHP Marcos Molina, 3B Jhoan Urena, and RHP Gabriel Ynoa to the Los Angeles Angels for SS Andrelton Simmons and SS Connor Justus

This is one I really like. This gives us arguably the best defensive shortstop in the game (when healthy). People put him down for his hitting skills but he's quietly improved over his career. He hit .281 in his limited time with the Angels. This gives the Angels a chance to re-stock their farm and gives us a black hole in the infield.

After this, the payroll is at 111.85 million. Roughly 28 million dollars available to spend. So now onto...

SIGNINGS!1!!!1

Sign Rajai Davis to a 1-year, 8 million dollar deal with a 2nd year, 8 million dollar team option

Image result for rajai davis

He played well for Cleveland last year. He plays solid defense in CF and led the league in stolen bases with 43, while also hitting 12 homers.

Sign RHP Jerome Williams to a 1-year, 1 million dollar contract

He's been utilized as a starter and a reliever throughout his career, and that's how we will use him. He gives us a swing-man. He's also never been very good, so we get him for cheap.

Re-sign Jerry Blevins to a 1-year, 5 million dollar contract.

He pitched well for us, so now he gets his payday.

Now... The big bucks...

Image result for kenley jansen

Sign RP Kenley Jansen to a 5-year, 75 million dollar contract. He solidifies the already strong bullpen and takes Familia's place when he most likely gets suspended.

Minor League Signings

These are for spring training and depth.

1B Jerry Sands, 1B Eric Thames, UTIL Eric Sogard

Opening Day Roster:

*Remove the / in David Wright's name, was a typo.

Closing thoughts

The final payroll is $140,850,000. Hope you enjoyed, I liked to factor in leadership skills and defense when picking who to trade for/sign. I left Lugo and Gsellman in the minors so they can be ready to step in, in-case of injury. I want their arms to remain stretched out. This is a team that will win if they stay healthy, and lose if they don't. It has oodles of talent.
Also, look at the time and the amount of tabs I had when I finished. xD
