Open Thread - Game #3: Mets vs. Marlins (04/02/2008) on SNY

Last night the Mets lost their second-best starter and one-time franchise savior to a hamstring (?) injury, the severity of which we don't yet know. We *do* know that he has landed on the disabled list and the Mets have recalled Nelson Figueroa from Triple-A New Orleans.

Also last night, the Mets lost 5-4 in ten innings. Tonight, Oliver Perez takes the mound as the Mets look to take the series. Losing the series 2-1 to the Marlins after the excitement of the first game will be completely demoralizing. I might just phone in the rest of the season. On my iPhone, people.
