DFA'd: Jorge Sosa, Nelson Figueroa DL'd: Angel Pagan Recalled: Matt Wise, Claudio Vargas and Fernando Tatis Kudos to the Mets for doing what's right instead of what's cheap. Demoting Joe Smith, one of the more consistently solid bullpen arms they've had this year, would have been a mistake. Cutting bait with Jorge Sosa, who has been terrible despite his $2 million pricetag, was the right goose to fry. And as I mentioned this morning, the shine is off the turd otherwise known as Nelson Figueroa.
