I'm in basic agreement with that. I thought Ryan Howard's second half of the season was awesome. He's still swinging a hot bat in Japan. I think he'll get the NL MVP.

Beltran was hurting for the last month of the season and his numbers suffered. Overall, I thought he had an amazing season, but wasn't the league MVP. I am looking forward to watching him build on that next year.

hmmm
I'd love to know who had Howard EIGHTH on their ballot.  I don't see how he could be below #3 on any ballot, and #2 is where I think he should be (Pujols ahead, Beltran behind).

Howard
I had him fourth, behind Beltran, Pujols and Cabrera. Howard was a monster with a bat, but he loses points in my book for being a lousy baserunner and a terrible fielder at an offensive-heavy position. Not to take anything away from him; he had a tremendous season.

Not sure who had him eighth.
