Open Thread - Game 2: Mets vs Cardinals (04/03/2007) on SNY

Source: mlb.com
The Mets are back on SNY, which means no more crummy announcers and HiDef broadcast for those who are fortunate enough to have a compatible set. I am one of those people, picking up my 55" Grand Wega LCD a year and a half ago in my engagement settlement (she got the rock, I got the TV. Everyone's happy). HD simply leaves regular television in the dust, so if you can afford a set, I wholeheartedly recommend springing for one. You won't be disappointed.
As for tonight's game, the Mets turn to El Duque to hopefully clinch a victory in the first series of the season. I certainly won't pretend it's the end of the world if the Mets lose today, or even tomorrow. It's just one series, but it'll be nice to get things rolling in the right direction, especially against St. Louis.
Excellent game thread the other night; that's just what I love to see here. This is the best Mets' community on the web, in my opinion, so it's nice to see everyone come out in force.
UPDATE [8:02pm]: The game is on the road, so there is no HD broadcast. Ho hum.
UPDATE [8:18pm]: Live win probability available at FanGraphs.com.

Ugh
Nice to have a lead...
Reyes!
Then, of course, Hustlestein grittily gets hit by a pitch. Good to see him erased by a DP.
Can I just say
Annoyed I missed the top of the 1st. Who hit Jose in?
Also, *&%$# Pujols.
Thx

I don't expect
But then I didn't expect them to win the WS last year, either. And So *#$%! Taguchi was part of the problem.
