Corroborating Eno Sarris's report from a few hours ago. Per Brian Costa: "Mets Limited Partnership engaged CRG Partners to provide services in connection with financial reporting and budgeting processes." We don't know that a sale or bankruptcy is in the offing, but we do know that the Rangers used this same firm to broker their sale in 2010. At all events, this is a good thing for Mets fans. Fiscal solvency would mean there'd be more resources to commit to on-field talent. Bankruptcy would likely portend a majority sale to an ownership group in a better financial situation than the current group. Win-win.
