Agent Dan Lozano, who also represents Mike Piazza, has indicated that the Mets have inquired about free agent infielder Tony Graffanino, most recently of the Red Sox.
According to Lozano, the Mets have expressed interest in free agent Tony Graffanino for what Lozano termed a "super utility role." Graffanino hit .309 with seven homers with Kansas City and Boston this past year and played at least one game at every infield position.Graffy would be a solid utility guy, and I suspect he would replace Miguel Cairo's spot on the bench.
