Well, it took Carlos Beltran being injured and Mike Piazza getting the day off to get David Wright into the 5-hole, but there he is. It's also possible that Willie wanted a righty to split up the two lefties, and he wasn't about to put Diaz or DiFelice in that spot. I didn't think the Mets had a shot last night but they pulled out a win. This afternoon is another heinous mismatch, but if the Mets win this one they will only be a game behind the Marlins and, depending on who wins the Philly/Atlanta matchup, could just be one game out of first place.
