Holy crap what a game last night! Carlos Beltran brings back a two-run homer with a catch over the centerfield wall. Marlon Anderson with a game-tying inside-the-park homerun in the bottom of the ninth. And the icing on the cake, down 3-2 with two outs and two on in the Mets half of the 10th, Cliff Floyd had a whale of an at-bat, fouling off four pitches including one that was crushed just foul down the right-field line. Finally, on the ninth pitch of the at-bat, Floyd ripped a fastball over the right-centerfield wall to give the Mets the 5-3 win.

That win was huge for the Mets, as the rest of the NL East were all victorious and, with Pedro Martinez going today, the Mets are in position to win the series against the Angels.

In other news, the Mets finalized their deal with Danny Graves. They are responsible for $196,852 this season and the contract contains an option for $5 million in 2006 with a $500,000 buyout. Assuming they don't pick up the option, Graves will cost them a total of $700,000 for the rest of this season. It looks like Graves is on the 25-man roster now, with Manny Aybar having been designated for assignment.
