The Mets have absolutely demolished lefties this year to the tune of .300/.356/.486, good for first in the NL and second in the bigs to only the White Sox. Tonight they're facing a pretty crummy lefty in ex-Met Shawn Estes. Add to that the fact that Pedro is on the mound and the Mets become overwhelming favorites to win this game. With all of those things stacked in the Mets' favor and given the ongoing dogfight that is the NL East, this is one of those games that the Mets simply must win. They need to take this series and keep rolling on this long homestand. Let's go Mets!
