The Aftermath: Game 114

And now the final game of the San Diego series, aka The Horror Show.

(What the hell is this Win Probability stuff anyways?)

Mets Stud: Cliff Floyd, with 24.9% WPA
Mets Dud: David Wright, with -29.4 WPA

David Wright was the hero of Wednsday night's game and he was the big loser on Thursday afternoon. The biggest play of the game was the double play that Wright hit into with one out and runners on first and second in the top of the eighth. The Padres had just scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the seventh and the Mets were threatening after a leadoff walk to Jose Reyes and a one-out HBP of Cliff Floyd. The second-biggest play of the game was Joe F'in Randa's RBI single that gave the Padres the lead. Randa is hitting .324/.378/.618 against the Mets this season with two homeruns and 10 RBI. I hate him.
