According to a news post on MSGNetwork.com, SNY and Cablevision have finally come to terms on a long-term contract. The Mets' newest free agent agreement will appear on channel 60 in New Jersey and New York, formerly occupied by a scrolling program listing that has haunted me every day since SNY launched on March 16. Cablevision customers in Connecticut will find SNY on channel 62.
Hi-Def subscribers will also be able to see HD broadcasts of all home games and select road games. SNY is expected to be available in Cablevision's 3 million households in time for tonight's Spring Training matchup between the Mets and Marlins.
There is no news yet on SNY's availability on DirecTV, Dish Network or RCN. I'll keep my ear to the wall on that one, as I'm sure many of you are eagerly awaiting news.
