I'm a big fan of Fantasy Baseball, as I'm sure a lot of you are. I started playing four or five years ago and have been hooked on it ever since. As a fan of sabermetrics it took me a little while to figure out the stark differences between fantasy and reality. There are a lot of players who are really average ballplayers but are studs in the world of rotisserie baseball.
Guys like Scott Podsednik, a player who doesn't walk and has zilch in the power department, but who steals 70 bases in a world where a stolen base is as good as a homerun when taken at face value (a homerun does add value to multiple categories like runs and RBI, however).
I'm going to run the first annual Amazin' Avenue Fantasy League at Yahoo! Sports. It's a standard 5x5 12-team mixed league (both AL and NL players). If you are interested in joining just send me an e-mail. The deadline to contact me about the league is March 15th, so get your requests in as soon as you can. If more than eleven of you want to join, those with the lowest userIDs on the site will be selected. userIDs are assigned based on the order in which you signed up for an account here, so those of you who have been here the longest will have first dibs.
