I'm swamped at work today, but here are some thoughts to discuss amongst yourselves:
- Jose Reyes is in a bit of a slump, but thanks to his four walks he still has a respectably OBP of .333.
- If Cliff Floyd and Carlos Beltran miss significant time, this lineup takes a considerable hit. Picture a bottom-four of Jose Valentin, Endy Chavez, Anderson Hernandez and a pitcher. That's almost a guaranteed three outs out of four batters.
- Duaner Sanchez has allowed just two hits in 9.1 innings. He can't keep that up. He also has 10 strikeouts in those innings, and I have a feeling he can keep that up.
- Billy Wagner: finesse pitcher?
