Report: Zambrano's Sugery Successful; The Next Henry Rowengartner?

MLB.com reports that Victor Zambrano's elbow surgery was a success.

Mets medical director Dr. David Altchek removed bone spurs in the elbow, repaired a torn flexor tendon and performed Tommy John surgery to repair a torn ligament.

Typical recovery time from TJ surgery is around 12-18 months, though some pitchers have bounced back more quickly.
