Last night was one of those games that makes you proud to be a baseball fan in general and a Mets fan in particular. It was an important victory because:
- The streaking Phillies had already won, so it keeps them five games back.
- It pushes the Braves to eight games out.
- The Mets have Victor Zambrano going today and the specter of Lima Time! awaits us on Sunday.
Let's go Mets!

UPDATE [12:39 PM]: On the pre-game show Chris Cotter confirmed that Lima Time! will be called up to make tomorrow's start, as John Maine is suffering some inflammation on the middle finger of his pitching hand. Bartolome Fortunato has been recalled for this afternoon's game to provide some bullpen depth (whither Heath Bell?) but he will get sent down tomorrow, and possibly designated for assignment, to make room for Lima Time!
