Nothing exciting about the Mets' squadron; they didn't bother to bring a single regular. Most interesting is going to be our first look at Braden Looper -- former Met, former reliever -- trying to cut it as a starting pitcher. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals back in 1996 and appeared in four games with them in 1998 before being packaged in a deal that brought Edgar Renteria to St. Louis that offseason.
