Aftermath: Mets vs Braves (04/20/2007)

Braves 7, Mets 3

(Source: fangraphs.com - what's this?)

Mike Pelfrey's pitching line:

IP H R ER BB SO HR PC-ST GS
5.0 6 4 4 2 3 1 92-51 40
We were grilling meat at a friend's house last night so I only saw intermittent snippets of this game. What's more, it was usually the forgotten child of the picture-in-picture setup as the Devils game took center stage. It's just as well, as the Mets, to paraphrase Lincoln, royally stunk up the joint last night in virtually all facets of the game. The pitching was flaccid, the defense porous, the offense lethargic. The only bright spot was the Mets' too-little-too-late drubbing of supposed Braves bullpen cog Rafael Soriano, which might mean more a few months from now than it did last night.

Mr. Met:

  • Hitting: David Newhan, 2.9% WPA
  • Pitching: Scott Schoeneweis, 0.1% WPA
Mr. Regret:
  • Hitting: Jose Reyes, -10.9% WPA
  • Pitching: Mike Pelfrey, -18.7% WPA
