Battle of the undefeateds in Hotlanta tonight, as the Mets will send Oliver Perez, Tom Glavine and El Duque to the hill against Mark Redman, John Smoltz and Kyle Davies (check MetsGeek for a preview of those pitchers). The Braves are coming off a tidy dismantling of the Phillies and their bullpen, and look to take the early upper hand in the battle for supremacy atop the NL East.
Willie Randolph mentioned last week that he was probably going to give Lastings Milledge a start tonight against the southpaw Redman in lieu of the lefty-hitting Shawn Green. Green is off to a solid, albeit powerless, start, collecting four singles in twelve at-bats (plus a walk) in the first three games of the season. He has also botched zero plays in the outfield, and had his cap fall off zero times in the process, so he's probably due for a couple of each. Probably a smart move to give him the night off.
The live win probability graph will be available at FanGraphs once the game begins.
