Aftermath: Mets vs Giants (05/29/2007 - 05/31/2007)

Game 1: Mets 5, Giants 4

Oliver Perez's pitching line:

IP H R ER BB SO HR PC-ST GS
7.0 5 3 3 0 8 3 98-64 63
Everybody loves Ollie. Even Pirates' fans. After another terrific start in which he walked none and struck out eight, I don't think there is any denying that Perez is the Mets' best pitcher. The Mets eventually won this game in incredibly dramatic fashion, as Carlos Delgado hit a walkoff homerun in the 12th inning after Jose Reyes scored to tie the game after a walk, balk, a sacrifice, and another balk, all against Armando Benitez. That the Mets won the game was great, but just overall it was a terrific game to watch. Perez squaring off against Tim Lincecum, who certainly appears to be the real deal. He also appears to be twelve years old, but that runt sure knows how to pitch.
