Open Thread - Game 93: Mets vs. Padres (07/17/2007) on SNY

Source: mlb.com

Tale of the tape:

Hernandez Peavy
ERA 3.20 2.19
FIP 4.45 2.41
K/9 7.26 9.45
BB/9 3.63 2.57
K/BB 2.00 3.68
HR/9 1.07 0.23
WHIP 1.13 1.06
GB/FB 0.91 1.31
BABIP .231 .297
eBABIP .242 .294

Que se dillio:

Ugh. If the regular season ended today Jake Peavy would win the Cy Young. The Mets are tenth in the National League in scoring. Pet Nosh Park is the second most difficult big league park to score runs in, trailing only Turner Field. What can you say? The Mets desperately need to start scoring some runs or their already tenuous one-and-a-half game lead will disappear faster than a plate of wings within arm's reach of David Wells (inside scoop: he's fat). Good luck, boys!
