Carlos Beltran might have been healthy enough to pinch-hit last night, but if the Mets had used him and he ultimately landed on the disabled list they wouldn't be able to DL him retroactive to a week ago when he stopped playing. There is no indication that he *will* actually land on the disabled list, and the Mets hope he is ready to go on Tuesday for the opener of their series in Milwaukee.
