Given a lead last week in Washington, Oliver Perez couldn't hold down the fort and the Mets eventually lost the game. Control has been a big problem for Perez of late: he has walked 15 batters in his last 21.1 innings covering four starts. Sixteen walks over the same span gives him a pretty shoddy strikeout-to-walk ratio, and it's no wonder the Mets have gone 1-3 in those games.
