Mr. Pelfrey pitches arguably the best game of his young career, gets yanked after one batter in the ninth, and Billy Wagner blows his second save via homerun in as many chances. Wags was bailed out by Carlos Beltran's oddly-clutch two-run walkoff blast in the bottom of the thirteenth that catapulted the Mets all the way into fourth place and just two games under .500. Well, whatever, a win's a win.
I've got a radiology appointment in the morning but I'll try to get something more insightful up before then. Or after then. Or maybe not at all. Don't forget Thursday's game is a matinee. The swag game form is already up at it's usual URL.
