NL East Standings Snapshot

On May 21 the Mets were seven games back of the Phillies in the National League east.

After their win tonight and losses by the Phillies and Braves, the Mets now trail Atlanta by a game and a half and are a game in front of Philly.

Everyone's respective record since May 21.

Mets: 13-5
Braves: 13-7
Phillies: 5-13
Nationals: 9-10
Marlins: 8-10

And their respective opponents' winning percentages.

Phillies: .545
Mets: .520
Marlins: .510
Braves: .475
Nationals: .462

The Mets are a deeply flawed team, but so are the Phillies and the Braves, and while it's early to be projecting out the rest of the season, it's not inconceivable that this group of players could hang around long enough to make a run at the postseason a few months hence. For now, though, I'm happy to just enjoy the wins (and the Braves/Phillies losses).
