AAA: Contributor List Finalized!

It's a book!
It's a book!

Last week we announced that the Amazin' Avenue Annual will be distributed by ACTA Sports, which will help us reach a much wider audience than last year when we self-published the Annual. We've also revealed a partial contributor list and teased a mystery contributor that we've yet to announce. Well, here is that announcement: Joe Posnanski of Sports Illustrated has contributed a piece to the AAA.

We weren't being intentionally secretive; we've known since November that Joe was on board, but he's also a busy man with a lot of other responsibilities so we didn't want to make an announcement until it was official, and it wasn't official--that is, I didn't truly believe we had Poz in the fold--until I was actually looking at his submitted chapter in my inbox. But now it's official: The two-time sportswriter of the year has written an article for our book. No backsies!

With that out of the way, here is the final contributor list:

Ken Davidoff of Newsday (Foreword)
Joe Posnanski of Sports Illustrated
Will Leitch of New York Magazine
Ted Berg of SNY.tv
Tommy Bennett of Baseball Prospectus
Jeff Sullivan of Lookout Landing
Grant Brisbee of McCovey Chronicles
Greg Prince and Jason Fry of Faith and Fear in Flushing

The Amazin' Avenue Annual will also feature an interview with Andy McCullough of the Star-Ledger, wonderful charts and graphs from Justin Bopp of Beyond the Boxscore, 2011 ZiPS projections from Dan Szymborski, plus comprehensive coverage from the writers of Amazin' Avenue.

The book will be available on March 1, 2011 in bookstores and online, and it will be available for most electronic book readers like the Kindle, Nook, and iPad. Be sure to check out AmazinAvenueAnnual.com for more information and sign up for the AAA newsletter for release news and updates. When the book is released we will randomly select some newsletter subscribers to win free copies of the book, and we'll also be sending out coupon codes so you can order the book from ACTA at a discount.
