Last Wednesday night I was lucky enough to be among a handful of representatives of the Mets blogosphere for whom the organization raised the velvet rope down at Citi Field to give us a taste of the Mets daily beat, if only for one night. Unfortunately not a particularly great night weather-wise as it was foggy and misting pretty much the entire time, but still a lot of fun and very cool on the part of the Mets for helping us in our continued efforts to pretend we're legit.
So like I said it was rainy and cold which meant that players weren't around much after drills so no luck there and Terry and Sandy kept their comments brief, but at the very least I managed to capture a gaggle of interesting images from in and around the ballpark:

...and then everybody broke into a rendition of 'West Side Story'.
Sweet kicks from who else but Robert Allen.
How'd that get up there?
Emaus working on that DP and ironically Capuano mans first...
...keep practicing Brad.
Have I mentioned that this gig has some sweet perks?
Just sitting on the Mets bench, no big deal.

Who is 'El Kid'?
UPDATE: Nevermind.
It's not Big League Chew but you can't go wrong with Dubble Bubble.
So where the hell is everybody?
Ahh yes. Even when it's raining they line up, incredible.
Don't worry, I managed to find a suitable alternative. Tremendous addition by the way (or maybe I've just never seen this).
Note: Any day you get to BS with Matt Franco about hitting up Mariano Rivera is a good day.
So for anyone that hasn't heard, they've got a pretty excellent collection of random cool crap from '86 on display in the Mets Hall of Fame. Definitely worth your time before a game this summer.
