Chris Young experienced biceps tendinitis after his first two starts, and although he was reporting improvement the past couple of days, it wasn't enough to make his start tomorrow. Young has been placed on the DL, and Pat Misch has been recalled. The Mets have not yet announced their starting pitcher for tomorrow's game.
An injury concern coming into the season, it didn't take very long for Young to land on the DL, and one of the few pitchers who was looking good will now miss at least a couple of starts. The slightly good news is that Young's DL stint will be backdated to Monday, which means he'll be eligible to return on April 26, the same date Ronny Paulino is scheduled to join the team.
