Mets and Marlins Postponed

Since there's no end in sight with the rain, the Mets' game has been postponed. There's no word yet on when, or perhaps if, the game will be played, but as a result the Mets will have back-to-back days off before beginning their three-game series with the Braves on Friday night at Citi Field.

Word is that the Mets will go with R.A. Dickey, Jon Niese, and Dillon Gee in the series over the weekend. Gee was originally scheduled to pitch tonight, but there's no point in pushing back Dickey and Niese, too, so it sounds like the right thing to do.

The way things have been going lately, it would have been good for the Mets to get a win before entering the weekend for the sake of the fans, though the current losing streak probably doesn't have make a ton of difference for the players as they prepare for their next game.
