There isn't a whole lot going on around the Mets at the moment, as the playoffs are dominating the baseball landscape. MLB.com did run a piece about Matt Harvey being excited to be a part of the Mets future, a sentiment that most Mets fans will certainly share.
Rising Apple started there year in review series a while ago, and they had a pair of them for us last night. They looked at both Chris Young and Daniel Murphy as they continue to break down the performances of the Mets roster this year.
Howard Megdal took a look at some of the various ticket prices the Mets will have next season. Most prices that affect everyday fans will remain the same, but there will be a few sections that will be seeing increases for 2013.

James gave you all a chance to vote on your least favorite relief pitcher. I voted Miguel Batista.
Around MLB:
That postseason thing was still going, and there were some pretty fun games for neutral fans. First, the Giants won their third consecutive game to eliminate the Reds from the postseason. Why couldn't they do this last year? #BlameBeltran
The Nationals won in walkoff fashion to force a deciding Game 5 with the Cardinals. The Cards only scored one run in that game. #BlameBeltran
The Yankees dropped Game 4 to the Orioles in extra innings. A-rod was again pinch hit for after not doing much at the plate. The lineups for Game 5 should be interesting, as CC Sabathia will be taking on Jason Hammel. Former Met Rule V pick Darren O'Day has been excellent for the O's.
The Tigers got an absolute gem from Justin Verlander to knock the A's out of the ALDS. It was an awfully fun team to watch while they were making their run to the playoffs.
Finally for today, FanGraphs continued their look at NPB and the new standardized ball they are using. It's long overdue.
