Mets turkey coma news: Wogan leaving the Mets, B-Mets to Canada?

New York Mets related news and links for November 22, 2012

I'm not going to have a whole lot of news to link today, as I've got some driving to do before I put myself into a turkey induced coma. There were a few items of note from yesterday though, the first of which was some news involving an organizational shakeup. Adam Wogan was a long time assistant to Omar Minaya, and was one of the few that survived the amputation from the former GM's regime. The Mets have told him that he's free to move on at the expiration of his contract though, citing changes to the organizational structure as the reason for the move.

Steven Cohen tried to buy a big chunk of the Mets in the not too distant past. It's probably a good thing he didn't get any of the team, as he has been implicated in an insider trading scandal that certainly wouldn't have looked very good post-Madoff. Dodged a bullet on that one...

Finally for Turkey day, it looks like the Binghamton Mets may be no more after all. There have been reports for a while, but it appears that they will be heading north for the start of the 2014 season. Binghamton may get a new team though, as it appears the Batavia Clippers Indians Pirates Trojans Clippers Muckdogs might be the team moved to replace them.
