There weren't any blockbuster TRAIDs yesterday, but we do have a few decent links to share. We'll start by heading over to BtB, where they wrote about the deals that Sandy Alderson has made since he's been running the Mets.
Andy Martino took a look at the current starting rotation, and mentioned Chris Young as a possibility to be brought back. I wouldn't be completely against the idea, but there are certainly others who would intrigue me more than Young.
Jon Heyman reported that the Dodgers are sniffing around on Bobby Parnell. I'm not exactly sure what the Dodgers would have to offer that we'd need, but I have very little concern that Ned Colletti would fare well when dealing with Sandy Alderson.
Bullpen Banter released their Mets' Top 15 prospect list, and I can find very little to complain about with the rankings. It really does seem that there are quite a few outlets covering minor league baseball for free now that are just doing a better job than Baseball America.
Yesterday at AA:
Steve did a fantastic farewell to R.A. Dickey. It's a fun read (and watch).
Rob gave us a little introduction to Noah Syndergaard. That will be a fun jersey.
Eno looked at the big bat we acquired, giving us even more on Travis d'Arnaud.
We also had lots of Dickey-love shown, you can stay up to date with it by looking over our fanshots.
Around Baseball:
The Angles may have lessened the need to TRAID one of their excess bats, dealing Kendrys Morales for former Met Jason Vargas.
The Red Sox made their signing of Ryan Dempster official yesterday, and DFA'd former Met Pedro Beato to make room for him. I guess that Kelly Shoppach TRAID was win/win.
Marc Normandin took a look at the way the Red Sox are approaching free agency this offseason, and while not as flashy as past years, it may actually work. Signing mega-jerk Shane Victorino still makes the entire winter a fail though.
