Braves 7, Mets 5: Duda Destroys, Mets Pitchers Destroyed

Lucas Duda continued to make his case for King Of Spring Training today, going 2-for-4 with a home run and a walk. He went oppo against Buddy Carlyle in the second inning, his fourth home run this spring. Unfortunately, he also flied out to end the game with the bases loaded. No big deal, it happens. Duda's spring slash line is now .306/.435/.694. Save some of that firepower for the regular season, Lucas!

The Braves played longball against the Mets' pitching staff. Chris Schwinden started and was knocked around early, allowing a three-run home run to Michael Bourn in the second inning. Schwinden allowed four runs on five hits in 2.1 innings pitched. Jon Rauch and Ramon Ramirez each allowed a solo home run to Freddie Freeman in the later innings. That's two games in a row in which Freeman has hit two home runs.

Jordany Valdespin went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and played most of the game in center field. David Wright started his second game in a row, going 0-for-2 with a sacrifice fly. He exited after five innings and will likely take tomorrow's game off. Click here for the box score.

The Mets host the Nationals at Digital Domain Park tomorrow at 1:10pm. The game will once again be on SNY.
