AAA - Buffalo Bisons (13-10)_______________________________________

BUFFALO 4, ROCHESTER 3 (Box)

Buffalo found a little bit of offense fairly early in this one and a strong overall pitching performance was enough to hold off their I-90 rivals. Andres Torres doesn't seem to be too limited in his ability to move, so I'd have to assume his rehab stint will be coming to a close very shortly. Also of note in this one, former farmhand Deolis Guerra threw three solid innings for the Wings.

AA - Binghamton Mets (11-10)_____________________________________

ERIE 3, BINGHAMTON 2 (Box)

Colin McHugh wasn't bad in this one, but when the number of batters you walk in 4 1/3 is equal to the number of hits your team gets for the entire game you aren't likely to pick up a W. This was just a poor offensive display from Bingo. Kevin Mulvey had a decent outing from the bullpen as he continues to attempt to re-establish his career.

Hi-A St. Lucie Mets (18-4)________________________________________

ST. LUCIE 4, FT. MYERS 0 (Box)

Is it too early to start talking magic numbers? Seriously, 18-4 to start the year is impressive. Coming off the back of what this group did in Savannah last year makes it even more so. Good pitching and a solid enough offense are a good combination, and those two things were again on display yesterday.

Lo-A Savannah Sand Gnats (12-11)__________________________________

LEXINGTON 5, SAVANNAH 4 (Box)

Michael Fulmer continues to struggle with the location of his pitches, but the stuff is certainly there. Hopefully he gets it figured out soon, as his arm is a real asset to the farm system.

Star of the Night

It's hard to pick a star from last night, but Jeremy Hefner should probably get the nod after a strong showing in Buffalo. Could he be next in line if Chris Schwinden repeats his performance from the other night?
