The Mets didn't scored plenty of runs, and R.A. Dickey was R.A. Dickey. In other words, they won. Dickey allowed just two runs in six innings of work despite the fact that he didn't record a strikeout and allowed nine hits. New York plated 9 runs on 16 hits and scored in all but two of the game's nine innings. David Wright was 4-for-6 with an opposite-field home run.
We knew it was over when...
Andres Torres drove in two runs on a two-out single in the fifth inning to put the Mets ahead 6-1.
What else?
Dickey was hit by a pitch on his right wrist, but he showed no ill effects as he pitched the fifth and sixth innings.
