AAA - Buffalo Bisons (30-22)_______________________________________
BUFFALO 3, COLUMBUS 1 (Box)
SP Matt Harvey seems to have dialed his fastball down to the 89-91 range sensing he lacked some control. He walked a back-to-back pair in the second inning before settling down to retire nine of his next ten, and overall threw 98 pitches through six innings of 1-run baseball, just 60 of them strikes. Harvey boasts a 3.24 ERA in May wherein opposing batters are hitting just .215. His season ERA in innings 1-2-3 is 2.45; in 4-5-6 it's 6.04 -- he isn't throwing his change up much, and he might think about mixing it in. The K rate continues to well please: with 5 on the day, that's 56 in under 60 innings (26 walks.) Our second person of interest is twenty-six-year-old RF Matt Tuiasosopo, who has hit in five straight games and drove in the go-ahead run in the eight inning of a well-pitched game. The 230-pound right handed bat -- a third round pick in 2004 -- son and brother to two NFL players -- is hitting a tick under .300 with 17 walks and five homers in 48 games. He found himself in the middle of each of two scoring spurts by the Herd.

AA - Binghamton Mets (24-25)_____________________________________
POSTPONED - Miguel Batista will take the mound for the B-Mets at 7:05pm tonight.
Though there wasn't a game, the news around the club yesterday was the retirement of 2006 second round draftee Kevin Mulvey. The 26-yr old from Jersey had posted a 5.59 ERA with the B-Mets in 2012 in proving that you can't always come home again.
Hi-A St. Lucie Mets (40-11)________________________________________
ST. LUCIE 9, PALM BEACH 1 (Box)
I'm afraid I'm going to short change my loyal readers on this one occasion. You see, the Bringleys stayed to the bitter end of that first-rate, intemperate ballgame in Queens, and my parents, visiting from Chicago, are asleep on my sofa bed, not ten feet from this clickety-clackety laptop, and they're morning people, and we're supposed to pay homage to our Irish forbearers at Ellis Island, but only after we rescue my wife's car which broke down somewhere on the Brooklyn side of the Kosciuszko Bridge and eagerly awaits attention. ... Lots of hits down there in Palm Beach.
